On July 18th Guest speaker Jose Rodriguez Executive Director of El Concilio for the Spanish Speaking made a presentation about the grant that was awarded from NCLR, National Council of La Raza. The grant is for vote registration, vote education and to encourage people to vote.

The Institute is now accepting applications for the Fall 2008 Semester for
The Prestigious Legislative Intern Scholar Program

As long as they are a Fresno State, Stanislaus State, or UC Merced student
with at least 60 completed units (Junior Standing) and an overall 3.0 GPA,
they are eligible to apply for our Internship Program.  They offer a
$1,000 scholarship for those accepted into the program.
